Find Traditional Irish Fare at Mullaney’s Harp and Fiddle

Find Traditional Irish Fare at Mullaney’s Harp and Fiddle

Over 25 years ago, three friends sat at a German bar in Pittsburgh and lamented the lack of a local Irish pub here in Pittsburgh. From that conversation, Mullaney’s Harp & Fiddle was born, and remains a local favorite for comfort food, traditional music, game day watch parties, and cold beer in the Strip District.  Rooted in tradition, it's known as the birthplace of the Great Guinness Toast and offers both camaraderie and comfort under one roof. From delicious bites, to your favorite beverages, to weekly specials and events, this local institution has everything you could ever want and is just a few blocks from The Cork Factory.

Each Tuesday, the pub hosts a Ceili Dancing night, where all levels are welcome to come and join the fun. Lessons begin at 7:15, but come early to enjoy a delicious bite from the appetizers menu. Choose from the wings, PEI mussels, or house smoked salmon. After working up a sweat on the dance floor, reward yourself with some of the heartier fare, like their classic fish n’ chips or short rib burger.

If dancing isn’t your thing, come down to the pub on Wednesdays for 3-dollar Guinness and 50 cent wings, or on Friday for happy hour and live Irish music. As any avid Notre Dame fan would, Mullaney’s Harp & Fiddle hosts game day watch parties all autumn long—check out the schedule here to plan your visit. You’ll also want to be sure not to miss out on the pub’s annual multi-day St. Patrick’s Day party, locally known as the #1 place to be on everyone’s favorite green holiday.

If you’re already looking forward to summer months, be sure to make a mental note about the Guitars Under the Stars summer series, where you can enjoy live music on the back deck each Wednesday, and bring your pup along, too!

Whether you come for the food, drink, music, dancing, sports, or company, Mullaney’s Harp & Fiddle is the place to be. Delicious Irish fare, ice cold beverages, and a warm neighborhood atmosphere has kept this local gem rocking for over 25 years. For more information about upcoming events and special nights, visit their calendar here. We hope to see you there this fall!
