The Carnegie Museum of Natural History Features Fascinating Exhibits

If you want to spend a few fun-filled hours exploring fascinating exhibits, head to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.

It is one of the top five natural history museums in the United States, and it's internationally renowned for its research.

The museum's vision is to be the world's most relevant museum of its type, and the staff uses the collection and their knowledge to inspire an understanding of natural history.

Exhibits include:

Dinosaurs in Their Time

Dinosaurs in Their Time is the museum's core exhibit, and it features fossils from throughout the Mesozoic Era. They're displayed in scientifically accurate representations of their ancient habitats, and the skeletons include Tyrannosaurus Rex and Apatosaurus Louisae.

Hillman Hall of Minerals and Gems

As visitors explore the Hillman Hall of Minerals and Gems, they'll see more than 1,300 specimens from across the globe. The gems come in all different shapes and sizes, and this hall is known as one of the country's finest and most important mineral exhibitions.

Alcoa Foundation Hall of American Indians

The Alcoa Foundation Hall of American Indians explores distinct Native American cultures and takes visitors on a journey through four major geographical areas: Iroquois of the Northeast, Hopi of the Southwest, Lakota of the Plains, and Tlingit of the Northwest Coast. The museum partnered with approximately fifty Native people to establish this exhibit, and it consists of more than one thousand contemporary and historical artifacts such as Lakota moccasins, Katsina dolls, and works of art.
