Enjoy Being Active
In its fourth season, OpenStreetsPGH is a three-event series held by BikePGH that promotes community building by providing fitness workshops, community arts, and car-free streets for safe and healthy activities. Sunday, June 24th, from 9am – 1pm enjoy the 4-mile route centered around downtown, Lawrenceville and, The Cork Factory’s home – the Strip District. Get active by walking, running, or biking along the path; its perfect for all skill levels!
Free Classes & Workshops
In addition to the car-free route, OpenStreetsPGH also offers a variety of free group fitness classes for the public. Shape Training will be running a Roaming Bootcamp and the YMCA is hosting yoga, spin, and Zumba classes. Plus, Healthy Ride encourages folks to try Pittsburgh’s bike share system and what better day to give it a go, then OpenStreetsPGH!
Whether you’re participating in the physical activities or just want to be a spectator, OpenStreetsPGH offers plenty to do for everyone. Many local businesses and organizations are offering special promotions, making it a great time to shop local and give them your support.
